Reverse ASIN allows you to identify the keywords driving traffic to a product simply by entering its ASIN. These are the search terms that bring exposure to the product.

The extension version of Reverse ASIN functions the same as the web version. It captures all traffic-driving keywords for an ASIN that appeared in the top 3 pages of Amazon search results in the past 30 days and displays detailed data for each keyword.

This guide focuses on some handy tips for using the tool on the extension effectively. Click here to learn more about use cases.

1. Auto-query from the Listing Page

Take ASIN B00YBP918M as an example: When you open the SellerSprite extension – Reverse ASIN on the product’s Listing page, it will auto-fill the current ASIN and begin the query. For this ASIN, 1,835 keywords drove it into the top 3 pages of Amazon search results in the past 30 days.

If you want to analyze a different ASIN or are on another page of Amazon, you’ll need to manually enter the ASIN to run a search.

2. Keywords from Other Variations

At the top right of the results page, you’ll see keyword counts for other variations of the ASIN. This allows for a quick judgment of which variation is the best-seller — usually, the more keywords a variation has, the more sales it generates.

Click on a variation image to switch and view its keyword list. Hovering over a variation shows additional details such as ASIN, BSR rank, and listing date.

3. View Keywords for All Variations

Click the [View All Variation Keywords] button in the top right to open the Reverse Multiple ASINs feature on the web version. This lets you batch query all Variation ASINs and shows merged, de-duplicated results.

4. Data Explanations

If you're new to this flagship feature, simply hover over a field to view a tooltip with a brief explanation. Click on [Data Explanation] to view a full description of all data columns.

5. Sort by Any Metric

By default, keywords are sorted by traffic share in descending order — meaning the top-listed keywords brought the most exposure in the past 30 days. Click the small arrows next to any column to sort by that metric, helping you quickly filter by the dimension you care about most.

6. Show Top 10 Product Images

Select [Show Top 10 Product Images] to switch to image view. This displays the top 10 organic products shown for each keyword on Amazon. By comparing product appearance, you can quickly determine how relevant each keyword is to your own product.

7. Historical Search Trend Data

Click on any blue number in the list to view that keyword’s historical trends in search volume and ABA rank.

8. Keyword Comparison

After selecting 2–5 keywords, click the [Compare] button to see side-by-side data such as search volume and ABA rank — making it easier to identify high ROI keywords.

9. Copy & Export

Click [Copy] to export the currently loaded keywords (by default, the first 50 results). To copy more or all keywords, first click [Load More], wait for the data to load, and then copy.
Click [Export] to download all keyword data as an Excel file.
